Lots of firsts!

So far today lots of firsts!

Brayden surprised me when I walked into his room first thing in the morning. He looked at me, smiled and said happily, "Mommy!" Awwww, so cute! He never says mama or mommy on his own, he usually has to be asked to say it. Now dada on the other hand he will say all the time!

This was such a great start to the morning. Next thing we did was get up and get some breakfast. We are having a slight problem with ants right now so we had the pest guy come out to spray and take care of the nasty bugs. While the man was here Brayden came into the kitchen and said "Mommy!" then signed for food. This was cool since he has never done that on his own either! The highchair was being occupied by dirty laundry so I put him in a booster seat and he ate like a big kid at the kitchen table. He LOVED it! He had a plate, a fork and his sippy. He didn't throw any food and didn't play with the plate, like I had feared. So cool! He was so proud of himself that he just smiled and smiled.

After that I tired to keep him occupied with some magnets that my mom sent him and we played on the floor while the man continued his work. Was so cute because he could point out each of the animals and make the noises that they make too. This was a first as well. He could name a cow, sheep, dog, duck, frog, horse, lion, and fish. He got stuck on the tiger and the giraffe, but I was totally amazed the whole time! After that I tired to keep him occupied with some magnets that my mom sent him and we played on the floor while the man continued his work. So just a little update on him today. I hope you are all having a great day! Talk to you later!!!

  1. Ah...I see you're getting the hang of it. I like this. The Snapfish has been delightful, but this in my opinion is far more. Really cool...and I'd have to think like Brayden & say, "Better than strawberries!"

    Love you,

  2. Hey Sis,

I am glad "B'den" is eating like a big kid. Maybe in a couple weeks, he can teach his older cousin to do the same!

    Cheers,

    Josh
